Trinity Bach Project kicks off its fifth season with an all-instrumental program of J. S. Bach’s radiant keyboard and violin concertos. Acclaimed violinist Mayumi Seiler joins pianist Godwin Friesen, harpsichordist Christopher Bagan, up-and-coming talent Junia Friesen, and an ensemble of nine exceptional chamber musicians to realize four Baroque masterpieces with fresh perspective: Violin Concerto in E Major (BWV 1042), Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor (BWV 1043), Keyboard Concerto No. 5 in F Minor (BWV 1056), and Concerto for Two Harpsichords in C Major (BWV 1061).
“A Circle of Concertos” is presented in partnership with The Rosedale Centre and features Cristina Zacharias, Jimin Dobson, Alex Toskov, and Solana Frebold, violin; Sam Rothermel and Savannah Seibel, viola; Kerri McGonigle, cello; and Yussif Barakat, bass. The concert is 70 minutes in length. Rosedale United Church is accessible, with an elevator at street level.
