Salsa with Luis

Tuesdays | 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Copp Hall

Turn up the music and get moving! To kick off our dance series, Luis will lead a fun, upbeat hour of Salsa designed to get both your mind and body working.

You'll learn some basic Salsa steps, put them together to music and have plenty of opportunity to move at your own pace. Dance is a great way to challenge coordination, memory and balance while enjoying some exercise - and it's a lot more fun when there's music involved.

No partner and no dance experience are needed. Come on your own or bring a friend. The goal isn't perfect technique - it's to move, learn something new, laugh a little and enjoy an hour together.

Dress for the mood - or don't! Put on something colourful and get into the Salsa spirit, or come in your favourite track pants. Shoes, bare feet, dressed up or dressed down - the only rule is to wear something you can move comfortably in.

Meet Luis

Luis Tapia is a familiar face around Rosedale as part of our Facilities team. Originally from Chile and married to a Cuban, Luis has plenty of Latin music and dancing in his life - and Salsa is something he loves to share. He has previously taught Salsa to residents in his own building and is looking forward to getting the Rosedale group moving too.

Luis also has a long background in coordinating people and training programs, including management and training roles in Chile before his facilities career in Toronto.
