Family Yoga focuses on strength, balance, and mindful movement in a supportive, welcoming environment for children and the adults who care for them. Designed for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to participate alongside children aged 4–8, the class encourages shared movement, cooperation, and calm through age-appropriate yoga poses and simple breath awareness. Families are invited to move together with intention—building physical confidence, coordination, and connection while creating space for presence and mutual support.
Classes are led by certified yoga instructor Miriam Patterson, an experienced teacher known for her calm, supportive, and inclusive approach. Drawing on decades of practice and training, Miriam teaches a gentle flow style that emphasizes breath awareness, safe alignment, and mindful movement. Her teaching is grounded in lived experience and a deep understanding of how yoga supports both physical well-being and emotional connection, making her classes especially well-suited for adults and children.
Sessions take place in Clark Hall, a bright and serene studio-style space with tall windows that fill the room with natural light. The hall’s open, peaceful atmosphere creates a sense of calm and quiet reflection, offering an ideal setting for gentle movement, presence, and connection. The space supports both physical practice and a subtle sense of grounding that many participants describe as restorative and uplifting.
