Christmas at Rosedale United Church is filled with music, storytelling, and joy.
The Children's Nativity Play
This year, children have two exciting ways to be part of our Family Service on Christmas Eve at 5 PM. Step into the wonder of the Bethlehem story. Children get to dress up, take on roles, and help retell the timeless story of Christmas in a way that is creative, heartfelt, and unforgettable. Rehearsals are fun and supportive, taking place each Sunday after church at 11:45 AM beginning in mid-November. Teens and adults are invited to join in leadership roles, making this play an intergenerational celebration where everyone’s gifts are welcomed.
The Children’s Christmas Choir
For those who love to sing, the Children’s Christmas Choir is a joyful opportunity to learn and perform some of the most beloved Christmas carols, including Joy to the World and Away in a Manger. Singing together builds confidence, community, and joy — and fills the sanctuary with the sounds of the season. Like the play, rehearsals are held weekly on Sundays after church at 11:45 AM beginning in mid-November.
Families are welcome to sign up for either the Nativity Play or the Christmas Choir, depending on whether acting or singing feels like the best fit. Both programs help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and experience the joy of being part of something bigger than themselves.
Join us this Christmas and give your child the chance to shine, whether on stage or in song, as together we celebrate the heart of Christmas at Rosedale!
