This retreat series is for anyone wanting to listen more deeply for the authentic and genuine within themselves and to find the courage to flourish in their particular season of life. It is designed for anyone navigating a personal or professional transition where deep questions about your life and your living have presented themselves. It is designed to help you hear more clearly what is going on inside of you and find a way through that is guided by your most authentic self.
If you are looking to reconnect with your soul and your sense of purpose; if you long for space to reflect on important questions for your life and work; if you are discerning what is next for you as a leader in your community or your family; if you feel you’re at a crossroads; if you want to feel a clearer sense of your integrity in living an undivided and authentic life, making a difference in the world, then Soul Through All Seasons is for you!
Rooted in the Circle of Trust® approach developed by Quaker writer and teacher, Parker Palmer, and formed by the work of the Center for Courage & Renewal, Soul Through All Seasons is for anybody who wants to follow the leading and wisdom of their heart and soul in these challenging times, personally and professionally. Soul Through All Seasons will support participants to:
• Act with courage on their true callings and passion
• Develop trustworthy relationships
• Cultivate sustaining personal and communal practices for the long haul and
• Work to transform the relationships, families, and institutions they serve.
Dates and Registration
This group will meet four times in 2022, for a day in each season, informed by seasonal metaphors and paradoxes: on Mondays (April 25, July 25* and October 24, and TBD January 2023) from 9am-4pm at Rosedale United Church.** There is enormous benefit to taking this inner and outer journey in an ongoing community. Consequently, you are expected to commit to this circle for all four sessions.
Cost: The fee for the entire series is $400.00 CDN and payment for the series is required with registration. Space is limited so please register early and not later than April 11, 2022.

Mardi Tindal, M.A. is a former Moderator (elected spiritual leader) of the United Church of Canada. She was prepared by Parker Palmer and the Centre for Courage & Renewal and has been facilitating Circle of Trust programs over the past decade with people of a variety of ages, backgrounds and vocational paths. She is also a Board Member of the Center for Courage & Renewal.
Kristin Philipson, B.A. Hons, M. Div, D.Min is Lead Minister at Rosedale United Church in Toronto and is an enthusiastic participant in courage work offered through the Centre for Courage & Renewal.
*The July 25 session will take place via Zoom to accommodate participants who may be out of the city on that date.
**Please note that Rosedale United Church policy requires proof of vaccination for all persons entering the building. This retreat series will take place mainly in person, but if health measures require it, we will shift to delivering the series online.
