On the main floor of The Rosedale Centre, you’ll find The Rosedale Centre Art Gallery, a bright and welcoming space curated by members of the church’s Art Committee. For many years, Rosedale has upheld a proud tradition of celebrating creativity by showcasing the work of both emerging and established local artists, offering a place where the community can gather, reflect, and be inspired.
The Rosedale Centre Art Gallery is more than just an exhibition space — it is a hub for culture and conversation. Rotating shows feature a wide variety of styles and mediums, from contemporary paintings and photography to sculpture and mixed media. Every visit brings something new, inviting you to discover fresh perspectives and connect with the creative spirit of Toronto’s artists.
All works are available for purchase directly through the artist, with a small commission donated back to the church to support our community programs and ongoing outreach.

Artist StatementWorking in oil and/or acrylic on canvas or wood panel, many of the figurative paintings that will be shown at Rosedale United church continue my series that explores the use of classical mythology set against a reverential lens for past generations. These paintings question the ways that we allow nostalgia to shape contemporary identity. Additional paintings to be shown continue my interest in themes related to community and relationships.Artist BiographyOnce described as “…one of a billion covid artists,” it nonetheless did take a pandemic combined with lockdown for Chad Cole to rekindle his love for drawing and painting. A self taught artist living in Toronto’s east end, Chad’s figurative work is typically created in acrylic or oil and takes on themes of community, relationships and personal introspection. Influenced by a range of artists from Bacon to Hockney, Chad’s paintings, perhaps more kindly, can be described as emerging artist effort created by a mid career body.
Here is a statement from this month's artist, Elaine Hoffman:
