Every year, we are fortunate to host the 30 campers at Rosedale from the Red Door Shelter, where they make friends and have a great time with sports, crafts, games, hiking in the Evergreen Brickworks, and learning a bit more about each other.

Unfortunately, in 2020, we were unable to host the campers safely due to the pandemic. So, we decided to bring the Summer Camp to them.

Thanks to the generous donations of Rosedalians, the volunteers who included previous summer camp leaders, and the creative spirit of our Outreach Ministry Team, we supplied 32 families across two shelter sites with a box, which included outdoor and indoor toys, cards, sidewalk chalk, books, and instruments. Several people also donated larger playsets and communal pieces of furniture. These boxes will also go with the families when they move into their homes, and help make summer a little bit more fun this year.
