Urgent Help Needed for Those Experiencing Homelessness

In the midst of the cold, Faith in the City Leaders are deeply concerned for those forced to stay outside on these cold days. Forty-plus shelters in the City are in Covid-19 outbreak and there aren't adequate numbers of masks for people. Some of the shelters won't/can't admit people without PCR or RAT tests/results. The agencies working with the unhoused need supplies, right away.

Rosedale United Church's Social Ministries Council has purchased 75 tents and 74 sleeping bags from Canadian Tire which it has distributed to Sanctuary Toronto, St. Luke's United Church and the Unity Kitchen.

So far, through your generosity, we have raised $3450 toward this compassionate appeal, but to cover even half of the costs of this outreach campaign we need to raise double that amount.

$150 donates a tent and sleeping bag set!

People need safe and dignified places to live. Tell your councillor and mayor and MPP and MP to stop passing the buck to each other and figure out how to provide health care and shelter to people.
