Music at Rosedale United

sanctuary---full-choir

Our music program is led by longtime Music Director Wayne Strongman, with support of a substantial and skilled choir, and Associate Organist Christine Hanson.

The choir offers works from a full repertoire of sacred music, classics, contemporary, gospel and spirituals, as well as works from popular culture that offer profound messages to people of faith.

In addition to a beautifully restored 1912 three manual Casavant pipe organ and a grand piano, we draw on various musicians with guitar, flute, trumpet, percussion

We are pleased to have several composers and songwriters in our congregation, and often have musical elements commissioned for our various liturgical seasons and events.

For younger people we offer a Youth Band, and a Junior Choir.

Welcome!

We are a dynamic and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Canada, with a tradition of strong preaching, fine music, and compassionate outreach.

There is a welcome here for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, family configurations, abilities, and economic status to attend, join, celebrate life passages, and participate with us in the call to learn, grow and serve as disciples of Christ.

Artist of the Month: Brigitte Nowak

Brigitte Nowak lives in Toronto and spends summers on an island in Georgian Bay. Her paintings, in oils and in egg tempera, explore the nature of reality and illusion, the interface between the human and natural worlds and the line between observation and comment.
